The
First Composite Group Association is composed of militarily structured
organizations that operate as "living representatives" of the World War
II military units they portray. Each unit has a commanding officer and
a chain of command that mirrors their historical counterpart. Unit personnel earn promotions and awards through participation and service.
The association currently consists of many active units nationwide that
represent U.S. Army, U.S. Army Air Forces, Navy, and German Luftwaffe.
Over the years, these units have been actively working to preserve
World War II history through participation in educational programs,
documentary films, re-enactments, air shows, and public events.
